The Initial Psychiatric Evaluation is an in-depth, comprehensive assessment where we’ll work together to understand your symptoms, personal history, and treatment goals. During this 60-minute visit, we’ll:

  • Review your mental health history to understand your unique experience

  • Discuss symptoms, any challenges you're facing, and how these are impacting your life

  • Establish a diagnosis (if applicable) based on your symptoms and history

  • Collaborate on a treatment plan, which may include therapy, medication management, and other strategies to help you achieve your mental health goals

This visit is essential in building a strong foundation for your care and establishes the psychiatrist–patient relationship. After this session, we’ll develop a clear path forward to best support your mental health needs.
