The Initial Psychiatric Evaluation is a comprehensive visit focused on understanding your symptoms, history, and goals for treatment. This appointment allows us to establish and accurate clinical picture and determine appropriate next steps.

During this visit, we may:

  • Review mental health history and relevant medical information

  • Discuss current symptoms and how they impact daily functioning

  • Establish a diagnosis when appropriate

  • Collaborate on a treatment plan, which may include medication management, therapy, or other supports

This visit establishes the psychiatrist–patient relationship and provides the foundation for ongoing care.

Follow-up visits focus on ongoing care and adjustment of treatment over time. These appointments are used to review progress, address concerns, and make changes as clinically indicated.

Follow-up visits may include:

  • Medication management

  • Monitoring of symptoms and side effects

  • Psychotherapy-informed support

Appointments are typically scheduled during your visit to support continuity of care.

Self-pay rate: $500/hour (prorated by session length)
